News demon not at full speed

Hi everyone
I've just got fibre in my area so I upgraded. Because I live in the middle of no where I was only getting 1mb download on standard broadband now on fibre a speed test says I can get 25mb but my usenet only downloads at 2.5mb.
I'm with Sky using News demon on the European ssl server and alt bins. I've tried changing servers, ports and the maximum download speed in the alt bins settings with no avail anyone else have a suggestion?

Forgive me if you already know this, but make sure you're not confusing megabit with megabyte because 25 megabit/s (mb/s) is equal to 3.12 megabytes/s (MB/s)
