To properly show respect to something you need,per definition to "show deferential regard for".So to respect everything/one is basically to respect nothing.

And while sad it's hardly my problem that most of the stuff/people here don't seem worthy of warranting the limited spots open under my "show respect to".

Btw I have no problem including myself the "unworthy of " group, which seems to be someplace else that we differ in our take on life.
