Rapid Usenet Take downs. Is it just me or everyone?

I think that the lack of the content mentioned earlier in this thread is because the people that are looking for this kind of content lack the appropriate skills to successfully post it to the Usenet without using methods that scream - TAKE ME DOWN I'M PAY PER-VIEW.

Utter nonsense. Uploaders have many ways of coding headers to beat the bots. Initial uploads are put "in the clear" for a couple of reasons. The trolls need to do a few thousand easy takedowns or they might look harder for the coded ones. People who use automated programs such as Sickbeard and have back up block accounts will beat the bots if they have decent indexer(s).

The days of getting everything you want whenever you want it with a single Usenet service provider and a single free indexer or a Matrix-like place are over.

Only if you're needs are PPV/pro-wrestling or other high profile nonsense (like free OTA tv crap). I get way more than enough (including pay-tv captures) to flood my connection 24x7 if I wanted to; I usually have to hold off on lots of stuff. And none of it 'requires' pay-sites and little more than 'free' indexers (with appropriate minimal brains behind the searching).

Yes, there are tons (TONS) of encrypted postings out there, somewhere around 90% of all posts. But the vast majority of those are the aforementioned wrestling and free-tv crap. If that's your primary downloading goal, then times are tough. I feel for you (NOT) in more ways than one.

The vast majority of critically acclaimed and historically significant TV programming has been on "free-tv".
Granted mostly due to greed and not artistic license, the times they be a changing but sadly,once again your ignorance is showing.

Hardly an "attack",personal or otherwise.
If on the other hand I had for whatever reason wanted to make a personal attack on someone (and I'm generalizing here so hopefully no offense) it would read more something like " I find you to be an annoying alarmist with a bit out a God complex who clearly yearns to be perceived as some sort of intellectual, but in reality lacks the wit to even properly capitalize TV".
