Thread: Seedbox

  1. #1
So i've been researching Seedboxes and I need one.

    Question is from where.

Feral seems most popular but also out of favour of almost everyone on it.

bytesized has several options on it, though they seem like a reseller.

It wont be used for public trackers.

    Any recommendations would be appreciated?

I use the one that advertises here, seedhost.eu. The cheap one meets my needs, very fast, only 2TB a month upload, but since I don't use public trackers, it seems to be enough. The more expensive ones give you a bigger HD of course and autodl-irssi, which the cheapest one doesn't have.

What are the speeds like? When getting from seedbox to local machine?

My friend and I can download at the same time and pretty much max out a 35 Mbps and a 32 Mbps connection with a download manager rather than an ftp program.

I gave https://www.seedboxco.com/seedboxes.php a try this month and they are pretty good. I did grab their 50% off offer though which meant £6.49 was pretty damn good for their 500Mbps SB-501 box for a month. Too bad you missed it

How do you insure it is done securely, SSL or something, whats the process?

I just download with a download manager, no SSL. If you want more security, CuteFTP can download a file in 8 parts to speed it up like a dl manager, and it has SSL and other things.
