As I don't watch everything on TV I'm not really in a position to say.While I sporadically enjoy what they do on The Walking Dead ,subjectively speaking it veers into "not good" as often as it does "good" territoriality.
As for "the best " show if you believe the critics via the Critic's Choice Award nominees it would be one of ..
The Americans
Breaking Bad
Game of Thrones
The Good Wife
Masters of Sex
True Detective
I would venture that shows like Sherlock,Fargo,House of Cards and Orange is the New Black would generally also be considered superior to TWD
Personally I like Penny Dreadful (so far),Justified and GoT but like you that's more opinion than anything.

I really should have elaborated if I was going to ask a real question. I decided that I had it when they began integrating attractive mail-order Russian bride into the plot. It felt like they stopped introducing anything cool or interesting at that point and that they lost whatever it was that prompted me to love the show.I gave up on it this season. Not a fan of binge watching as a good story deserves to be savored not guzzled (yeah I'm talking to you ,fagMeg) so don't do something silly and suggest I download it.

I would only say that if I was still a fan. We all imbibe and consume in our own ways, for I find that my meat gets chewy, my milkshake sours, and my beer goes stale if I don't wolf them down like I just got out on parole.
