Method: I manually download all my movies and shows from FST.com on my Windows 8.1 desktop, using this neat little trick to send .nzb to the server: http://wiki.sabnzbd.org/howto-associate

Before PyTiVo I was using Plex - mostly or Serviio or PS3 Media (DLNA servers) to Roku and/or WDLive Plus or smart TV ..OR.. data files to flashdrive to same devices or Sony Bluray (also data DVD).
All had various strengths and weaknesses
Liking the TiVo setup now for superior picture and navigation.

Automation? I use Forte Agent for reading and light downloads. I use Newsleecher for the nzb work. Does me just fine I expect I am Old Skool!
