Thread: Technical ebooks

  1. #1
There used to be 2 posters who posted a lot in a.b.e-book.technical. Since they went away in June 2013, the a.b.e-book.technical has been dead.
Have they come back, if so where do they post?
Is there someone who has taken their place, where do they post?
Any suggestions on sites to find textbooks and books like that.

I believe they were getting sued, so I doubt there will be much posting in that group anymore by anyone. Try the regular e-book group; inner-sanctum seems to have some with scrambled titles if you belong to an indexer to decipher them. Otherwise, you may have to find a torrent site.

Which indexer are you referring to?

Literally any of the newznab indexers that have popped up since nzbmatrix went down should have an ebook section. Also, i think nzbgrabit and gingadaddy have ebook sections.

Boy do I miss rockhound. Prolific is an understatement. Elsevier, et al., are just as brutal (if not moreso) at protecting ip as the xxx & mma camps I think.

Problem with all the "ebook" NZB indexers is that they seem to be 90% magazines these days. And the remaining 10% seem to be pulp fiction type paperbacks.

I'll add my name to the list of those who really miss a.b.ebook.technical.
