Mystery: solved ✓
"I just remembered something that happened a long time ago."
Surely the Mystery is why post a puzzle and put the answer in the same post. It's not a puzzle but an interesting fact or comment.
A puzzle on the Eurovision Song Contest. Entries from France, Germany, Spain, Italy and the United Kingdom are guaranteed places in the final every year. With the following theoretical song choices, why might only the UK entry get the infamous nul points?
France's song is "Can humans only imagine roads?".
Germany's song is "Very original ice cream eggs".
Spain's song is "Super clever aliens learn eternally".
Italy's song is "Love you really in colour".
UK's song is "Animal zoos exert regal opulence".

Because when you take the first letter of each word in the song titles, the other countries' songs spell music-related terms, whereas the UK gets "a[ ]zero".
I suck ass at riddles, so I'm pleased I got this one
"I just remembered something that happened a long time ago."
And because I`m trying to be original I made this one all by myself.... (so probably the answer will not work for most but that is originality for you)
Why can girls panties fly?
A driver went onto a motorway/highway and saw a notice for roadworks ahead, the driver drove at 60mph for 12 minutes before reaching the roadworks, then drove at 5mph for 2 miles, and then at 10mph for 20 minutes before the roadworks ended. Afterwards the driver accelerated to 60mph for 15 minutes before reaching the exit junction and then drove at 30mph for the 3 miles to reach home.
How long did the journey take and what distance had they drove. Assume speeds are constant and acceleration instantaneously.
Is the distance 35.33 miles?
