Noob question, some movies specify IMAX version. does this make any difference on a regular tv or 3d tv, or is it just the same as a regular old movie.

Somebody posted an explanation in either the 720 or 1080 thread of hungry games. It only changes the aspect ratio in certain scenes. The overall frame size remains the same. Ever see The Dark Knight?
