Thread: DogNZB Loses Paypal Account

  1. #1
It finally happened, Paypal froze our account, so Paypal donations have been disabled while we look for an alternative method of funding.
I'm not making fun of this but I'm surprised it did not happen sooner. He won't be opening again until he finds some other way to take payments.

I'm assuming it's either an Onion article or it's DogNZB.

    That would make sense.

I read that like 3 times and even Googled the quote. Couldn't figure it out for the life of me.

No, and there can't be, certainly not today. One can establish a server/service in the most out of the way place on the internet, but at the end of the day, unless you want to provide the 'service' as something out of your own pocket, certainly not something to make a profit with, you're doomed to failure.

One could try to set up 'shell' companies to route things around; that would get one into yet more trouble.

The only solution is the same I came up with long before the cratering of newzbin(1/2/?) and 'the matrix'; one has to post openly with easily identifiable but with an encrypted system that makes the takedowners to spend massive amounts of time and effort to 'crack' the system, but which for 'ordinary' usenet users is simply the way one does basic routines.

The same thing happened to other NZB sites. The Dognzb hated Bitcoin. He has no processor for that. I'm not a big fan of Bitcoin either, but it's the only solution for now.

They must have some way to get Bitcoin because people are paying in it if you read the announcements on the forum.
Who needs cloud storage when you got the NSA?

    Has to be fake, surely?

No, there was an announcement elsewhere.

    And don't call me surely.
