Wanting to install a game, I got a cyclic redundancy check type error, thinking it was just a bad copy I was sent, took no notice. But then it happened with the last three games I downloaded:
Battlefield 1942
Mafia, city of lost heaven
Sim City 4
I tried everything I could think of to no avail.
I run win xp, pentium IV 1.7 Gigahertz with 512k ram and geforce 2 mmx 64 k
Anybody who can help me or at least tell me what the problem is?

If you burned these from iso or any other type of image - try burning at a lower speed ie not at 48x - try 24x. If someone else burned it ask them to try that.

Try using cd mage and if it cant fix it use winiso to extract the corrupted files and re download or ask someone to send you those files then burn that
