Sheila just remembered me of my first holiday to the states, about 13 years ago.

I went on a so called "America Express": Stuff 11 people of different natinality's in

a big van and drive 'm from San Fransisco To New York in 3 1/2 weeks, doing as

    much highlights as possible......

The group had 1 belgian guy, who didn't speak one word english, two israeli girl's

too beautifull for words, with their noses above the clouds.

One dutch girl who saw nothing, cos she was head over heals for the trackleader.

Two swiss girls giving the word tart new meaning.......

And three Aussie"lady's" who made the holiday a living hell..........

The word feminine never came to mind observing them.

They whined about everything: Accomodation, food(!!!, they really made me hate

Sizzler's...), every detour(i love detours....), the men in the group(Duhuh....),

    Etc. Etc.

    They were sheer terror.

Happily there was Chris, a 350 lbs. aussie with a good sense of humor, who would

support me in baring with these ******. He actually stated the lady's made him

    ashamed being an aussie.....

I am truly happy to 've met some people here that made me realise not all

    aussie's are the same.....or???

The fact is we are stereotyped big time over in the US, most recently by Steve Irwin (an issue I have discussed at length with our own Suicyco247). And many US peeps identify us by this dude, who in no way resembles the vast majority of Aussies.

Are myself, Sheila, Cowsy, Ang and Ozbabe pretty typical of Aussie chicks? Hard to say....depends on what you call "typical". We are an incredibly diverse nation of people, and to try and stereotype us would not do justice to the amazing people we have as our population. All I can say is....come and visit and see for yourself!

I was not stereotyping, but merely telling an experience first hand.......

I surely will visit you some day.

One of my best friends just worked in Australia for 8 months. He's going back in

    december.

Once i made a walk along the beach with a man who lived in Australia for twenty

years, he told me sooo much...... :pirate:

No Yogi ...I didn't say you stereotyped us (sorry if I gave you that impression)...it's just that I have a lot of mates in the States and almost the first thing they mention is fucking Steve Irwin! Then I say I live about 3 hours from him and they totally piss their pants. But he is the EXCEPTION not the RULE in terms of Aussies. We are a wonderful bunch of people - and we know how to part-ay....right gals??? B)
