As for the Turtles and having endured the first two movies ,I think the problem lies in something originally intended to be counter-culture and subversive,due to greed,becomes mass market fodder.

The first three TMNT live-action films were produced by Golden Harvest, with New Line Cinema (now a sister company of Warner Bros. They dropped the ball again by letting Michael Bay direct it.

They dropped the ball one more time by casting Megan Fox.

They dropped the ball yet again by going with that shitty script.

Then they dropped the ball by using that shitty design for the turtles.





The only thing I really liked about the whole thing is that the Shredder actually sort of reminds me of how he was in the very first comics.
