Stick with Ontrack Dataerase, I've used it before. On a 120 Gb hard drive it will take a while, but its very thorough.
Just formating the drive wont get rid of your porn, it can easily be restored. Formating just erases the references to the files not the files themselves.
You should always use software like this to securely erase your drive if you have personally identifiable stuff on your computer and not just for getting rid of porn.
If you use internet banking, or have typed letters with peoples names and addresses on them or even have photos of yourself or family members, its better to be sure no one you dont know can get hold of them without your consent.
