    Not only storage, but service like LastPass was hacked the last months. It think local encrypted storage is far more secure than relying in cloud service, at least for passwords.

    It's great until Google randomly decides to lock your account due to "suspicious activity" and refuses to reenable it... keep backups!

    if you are curious about this make sure to backup your cloud file one per week.

    Old Saying goes... If you cant "hold it" than you dont own it. I think the same goes for digital, if you dont have full control of it than it not safe.

    using cloud storage that offer end to end encryption add a strong layer of security. This means that your files are encrypted before you leave your device and stay encrypted when store to cloud storage.

    There was an unofficial E2EE addon for Google Drive, but I can't seem to find it anywhere right now... maybe it died by shooting itself twice in the head.
