    Thundernews is a Highwinds reseller. Not to mention, they'll terminate your unlimited account for downloading "too much".

    I know I have seen charts around showing the "families" of Usenet providers--it seems like there used to be a "Big 4" and some minor ones. Perhaps someone can give provide a link?

    That chart is somewhat dated now. This provider list is more up-to-date, but still not 100% accurate as Highwinds has been scooping up just about everyone. Specifically, Cambrium has now been acquired by Highwinds, but is still represented as an independent backbone on the list.

    For over 5 years. They were (I believe) their first step into Europe on their way to world domination.
