To be fair we're talking AMC here and that cowboy railroad thing has lasted through at least three seasons so I'm guessing BCS is kinda a no brainer.

I also think it says something that I watched the first nine episodes then missed the finale and am so not invested in any of the characters that I don't really care if I ever watch the last episode or not.

Ouch. Just watched that video. I believe if we were to watch a mass suicide, the energy in the room would not be any lower than the descriptions of what to expect next season.

That was four minutes that felt like an hour.

That's the second time I've heard that today.

I just end up hating them and wishing they would die off. So that doesn't really add to the morality/conscience aspect they are supposed to bring into the story.

We lose much of the tension created by knowing that certain characters (anyone we initially saw on BrBa) live. Mike has potential, so I will watch that 6th episode.

Anyone know (without giving spoilers) if the show has been renewed for a second season?
Yes It has been renewed for a second season ....... And hopefully the way they ended the first season it will get better , it cant get any worse.............

I can't argue with any of Idol's points. I think Michael Mckean was mis-cast. I have a real hard time separating him from his comedic roles. I'll give it another season, see if the writers hit their stride. One thing BCS has over BrBa: they don't go crazy with the POV shots. That novelty wore off early into Bad's run.

Ya but Breaking Bad's first season I thought wasn't very good , but the following seasons got better and better , and it did have a main story line and purpose that it followed right through to the end. And the acting was great.

Better Call Saul's first season was all over the place and you don't really know what direction it was going ,and none of the acting has really stood out yet , that's why I hope the next season is more targeted to a story line that does run and flow through the whole 2nd season , because if that doesn't happen , I don't think it will last

It does lack a decent unifying story or a decent story for that matter.Old people, class action suits and Cain and Abel family drama are not the things that most people would put near the top of what they find entertaining.

I think the series would be better served for Jimmy/Saul to fall into some interesting/dire situations and then (with the aid of Mike) have to work his way out of them.Although this does sound too uncomfortably close to a bad sitcom.
In which case add Margot Robbie as Jimmy's assistant- a former stripper turned bounty hunter and I think we'v got a hit on our hands.

I think Odenkirk is a more than competent actor; we haven't seen a compelling enough storyline yet. Jonathan Banks will get an emmy nod for that one particular episode (though I think Walton Goggins should win for Justified).

Agree 100% on this , and I think Justified was a amazing series from start to finish (in my top 10)...
Heck , he should win for his "ballsy'" roll in Sons of Anarchy as well (he was hilarious in that)
