Kuwait's World Cup qualifier with Myanmar postponed
FIFA has postponed Kuwait's next World Cup qualifying match because their federation is suspended from international football for government interference.
Kuwait were to play at Myanmar in neutral Bangkok, Thailand, on Tuesday in an Asian qualifying group.
FIFA said that, taking into account the suspension, the match "cannot take place."
The ban was imposed last month after the FIFA Executive Committee -- including Kuwaiti royal Sheikh Ahmad Al-Fahad Al-Sabah -- set Kuwait a deadline to change its sports law. The IOC also suspended Kuwait.
It is unclear when the postponed match can be played. Kuwait already have two qualifiers scheduled in March when the current group phase ends.
Kuwait are second behind South Korea in Group G. Eight group winners and the four best runners-up advance to the next round.

More news about FIFA:
FIFA rejects Blatter and Platini appeals
FIFA's Appeal Committee has rejected the appeals lodged by Sepp Blatter and Michel Platini against the 90-day suspensions imposed by the Ethics Committee.
President Blatter and vice-president Platini were handed the provisional bans in early October over a "disloyal payment" made to the Frenchman in 2011.
Both deny any wrongdoing and appealed their cases with world football's governing body, but have been unsuccessful in overturning the sanctions.
A FIFA statement read: "The FIFA Appeal Committee has today rejected in full the appeals lodged by Joseph S. Blatter and Michel Platini and confirmed in their entirety the respective decisions concerning provisional measures taken by the adjudicatory chamber of the independent Ethics Committee.
Blatter lawyer: No evidence of ´improper motivation´ in Platini agreement
Sepp Blatter's lawyer Richard Cullen claims there is "no evidence of any improper motivation" in an agreement between FIFA and Michel Platini which resulted in the pair being banned from all football-related activities.
FIFA president Blatter and vice-president Platini were handed 90-day suspensions by the Ethics Commission in early October over a "disloyal payment" made to the Frenchman in 2011.
The pair deny any wrongdoing but had their appeals against the bans rejected by FIFA's Appeal Committee on Wednesday.
Blatter's lawyer revealed they will press forward with attempts to clear the outgoing president's name and claimed there is no evidence to support allegations of wrongdoing.
