I do appreciate that you posted.The fact that our viewpoints concerning football don't precise align doesn't negate that.
Also I didn't and won't "rubbish" you.
The simple fact is that I hate the orgy of hyperbole that Americans have created around football especially since I'm pretty sure any sport involving a bunch of mostly truly horrible human beings and played in short six second spasms of activity doesn't deserve it.
I think that beyond sheer athleticism,someone rises to the top of a sport by having a very specific,sometimes very narrow skill set and they often don't translate well from one thing to another.

Anyway can we move beyond this and figure out the reason why all American sports either involve long periods of people standing around talking or gas engines?
