Well... a bit of a deviation from the book, but it is still entertaining. It's only the first episode, so we will have to see what the future holds.

I thought it was OK if like you said blanded down for American network TV which if you really think about it, sort of defeats the whole point.

Anyway King's strength as a writer has always leaned more toward character than plot and a series (hopefully) gives a better chance to showcase this.

I could have done without the fake split in half cow though.I mean if you want to include something like that at least have the balls to make it semi-realistic.That is unless the U.S. has found a way to develop organless bovine.

It was shite.

It could have been better.... But, could not ONE person in the show ask the question, wether it was possible to dig underneath?... if they are they trying to push the plot by overlooking some obvious points then they will lose me quick...
