You're not exactly getting better quality with the H.265 encoding standard. More efficient compression just leads to using a smaller bit rate to achieve the desired quality. Basically, your TV is a glorified Netflix machine. I am no stranger to the utilitarian agenda, but you clearly wasted a bunch of money. You're going to have to accept that.
