Thread: Chip Foose Cars

It was just a list of his achievements, no-one was seeking to "prove talent". Clearly the judges giving out those awards thought he deserved them though.

To be fair and since you have brought them up, the Velvet Underground were pish at music and Charlie Chaplin couldn't act so they are hardly good examples of people who didn't win awards but presumably you think should have.

If you are going to propose that whatshisface is good at cars simply because a lot of people seem to think so then by the same logic you're going to have concede that my examples were likewise good at whatever they were pretending to do.

That's how stuff works or else we can all pack it in right now and start saluting Allah.

It's not just "a lot of people" though. It's judges, people who have an expertise in the field. The car industry have decided that he makes quality car, you disagree, that's fine, it is a kind of opinion thing. However I suspect they are looking at these things in much more detail than what it looks like overall. There is build quality, finish, paint job, how square everything is, aesthetics etc. Not just "Oh that looks quite cool".

Oh and "a lot of people" not just the judges in these competitions, think he makes good cars as well. You disagree, that's cool as well.

Just so we are clear, does Taylor Swift make better music than The Velvet Underground, absofuckinglutely.

Is Charlie Chaplin a good actor, absolutelyfuckingnot.

You salute whoever you want. It's no business of mine.

Taylor Swift demonstrated some talent when she still sang country and her songs still contained an iota of honest emotion and truth to them and before she sold her soul to the vagaries of fame.

In that she may possibly share something with Chip Fosse.

As for "Is Charlie Chaplin a good actor, absolutelyfuckingnot". True since he is pretty much universally revered as being great. Thing about acting, almost contradictory it's often the subtlety where the art lies.

Perhaps a valid point until you take into account the old adage "if you want to know who won a boxing match , forget the judges and simply ask a six year old.

As I basically have the mind of a child then win me.
