I have concluded that they have blocked any process that connects to the internet with the work kazaa in it... i know this bc soulseek alows me to dl up to 1000kb/s and if someone knows how to rename the process... please respond

im not sure if you can unless the program was reprogrammed to do so... but maybe kazaa can make another release where the process it random or atleast teach us how to change it.

try this see if it works, one of the members said that it worked for them

Go where you installed KL and change the name of "KazaaLite.kpp" to something else. Click Start, Run and write regedit. Go to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\K++ and change "ApplicationName" to same as "KazaaLite.kpp"s new name. Go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\K++ and do the same.

it's always a good idea to make a copy on hardcopy of your registry before ya go messing around in there, just in case ya make a goof.

    Diet K

    - Bypasses some .edu networks that are blocking Kazaa.
    - Works by running as a local proxy
    - Changes the Kazaa network name to confuse firewall software
    - Restructures packets to look like HTTP requests
    - Bandwith throttle to prevent getting busted for using too much bandwith
