Right now Anon, i can honestly say i am deleting shit off my drives (20TB just replaced/upgraded to 4TB drives)just as much as i am downloading. Funny i had so many TV shows that were cancelled with cliff hangers, or didn't make the cut, let alone how many pilot episodes, so basically tons of separate folders with one episode in it!!!...It does really amaze me on how many good shows (or at least i thought), never got to a second season...

The same with movies, seriously, some shit that i can't believe i kept..But funny i didn't find any Anime ..

The truth i do have more than half of that 20TB empty...

I have, it's a skill I happen to be good at Though I don't know how well the concept could be applied to movie watching... well, maybe if you have four TVs and speed up the video

If you have accounts on a good private tracker or NZB index, and even if you don't, it's easy to download tons of stuff and delude yourself into thinking you'll watch/listen to/read/play it at some point in the future. I stopped doing that around two years ago, after realizing I was never going to catch up that way. Now I just write the works' names in a text file as a to-do list of sorts. Accomplishes the same results, but is easier, faster and uses up less disk space! Also, I have like five or six of those text files, which may or may not mean something.

shaina, you've got a gigabit line and more than 10 TB empty... run an ownCloud and charge a small fee for access... great business opportunity right there

Ok real time, we both know that it was a joke, but still even the thought of having the ability of watching multiple screens at the same time, i really can't see any enjoyment or purpose??

Here is something to think about.....

You claim to be a speed reader, truth Anon my wife and son are as well.. A question i never asked them?? i know say in my wife's perspective she prefers to read a paperback book vs say reading a screen or some sort of electronic device, do you feel the same??

Now my son also listens to pod casts etc, but sill prefers reading an actual book for personal enjoyment...

Interesting thought Anon, and you know i am always open to grow my portfolio

But thinking i have to share my bandwidth with strangers kind of turns me off that sales pitch, and really how cheap it is to get secure cloud storage from the big boys?? Is it really worth it being a small potato ??

I never really thought about it, or at least found one highly desirable over the other. If I have a de facto preference for electronic books, it's because they don't use up additional physical space and are easier to copy Some people complain that looking at a glowing rectangle tires their eyes... set the brightness and color temperature to the lowest you can comfortably deal with (mine are 34% and 2300K) and it's all good.

Who said anything about strangers? Your customers could be existing liaisons looking for secure, trustworthy Canadian data storage. Ain't just what you got, but also how you show it

A lot of people here split the monthly cost of Internet access in a similar manner... especially in areas where there's little competition and providers charge whatever they want.
