Jeez, how long have I been away??

I spent about 8 hours on IRC waiting to pass the exams at What only to eventually be disappointed after about a fortnight.
Yeah, there was so much available but seeding back the stuff I liked was nightmarish.
My personal collection contained only half a dozen discs that weren't already upped, which irked me a little as an ex- DJ.

What really pissed me off, though, was the requests... the pretentiousness of the members requesting perfect flac rips of a certain vinyl pressing - high quality heavy grade - with no mention of hardware.
FFS, I mean are you really going to get to 'hear an album as it was intended by the artist' when it was recorded digitally in the first place, and the THD, wow & flutter introduced by that shitty Ion usb deck with a £10 magnetic cart?
Nope. That "warmer sound" you're hearing is the rumble from the cheap-arsed turntable bearing.
And let's not forget that your fucking beats 'phones might cost a few bob but Wharfdales, Missions, even JBLs, they most certainly are not.
You would still get better reproduction taping onto a TDK C90 in a Nakaminchi Dragon off a Pink Triangle.
