Riddler is too clever for most of us me thinks

Heres another one:

An oil heater salesman wasnt doing too well, so he decided to travel to an eskimo village. His idea was that they are so cold they must need heaters in the igloos.

The head of the tribe however informed the man that the igloos are so warm they didnt need any. The man didnt give up and asked them if they ever got cold whilst fishing?

The head of the tribe said, "well yes, sometimes - especially the feet". The man then decided to demonstrate how much better it would be if they had these oil heaters in each canoe and kajak or fishing boat.

Unfortunately, they all caught fire and everyone had to swim back to save themselves.

What is the proverb??
