I was on here a few days ago on about me download rate, since then I have tried a few cheats to try and speed it up but they have failed. I have had my participation level up to supreme being but no change , I uninstalled 2.02 and replaced it with 2.00 but no success , I've even thought of getting rid of XP and replacing it with win98se ,just to give you a clue to how bad it is ,i'm now downloading the movie "Catch me if you can" in the search there is 19 users sharing the file and last time I downloaded it I was getting a rate of over 100kps but now I have 8 users im downloading off but im only getting a rate of 5kps , I have done multiple test on my broadband and they are all showing exellent rates , Is there or was there anyone else who have had this problem in the past and has found the solution, Any help will be truelly appreciated....................Ragz

Have you tried just downloading one file at a time? Just pause any others you may have in your list.
Not exactly a solution but it works for some.

pausing and resuming, and restarting your client to switch supernodes often help, as noted above.
try setting your firewall options (in kazaa lite) to a different default port.
alot of people say that isps are monitoring/blocking port 1214.
if that doesnt work try uninstalling kazaa and rebooting, then run regclean and then reboot, then reinstall kazaa, hope this helps.

I have to pause some, I get about 70k/sec download, now that gets shared by the downloads, so the more downloads I have the slower they'll go, I can usually have a 60k/sec and 10k/sec going no problem.

@nizers
I don't believe Regclean works for Xp .... but try Regcleaner ... Great tool for the registry.
The others mentioned on this page are also worth checking out.
