Image hosts are good at three things.
    • Deleting images
    • Shutting down
    • All of the above

Unfortunately Tinypic is no exception; only Imgur seems close to being one.

Yeah Imgur was just getting going way back when before my inactivity. I'm surprised it's still around, I see a lot of people using it.

Anyways don't reallt use dropbox, but a dropbox type of site would squeeze my nuts all gentle like I'd have to say.

I prefer Mega. It is a great free site, very fast and reliable.

Mega was good when the traffic quotas were trivial to bypass.

Mega is okay, but iirc they do limit download speed/files under certain circumstances and it can be a pain to bypass this. Also MegaDownloader + Psiphon solves the download limit problem.

Never faced that, thankfully. One other problem I did encounter is that downloading files bigger than 2 GB is very difficult: browsers crash, and third-party clients simply never start. I had to create a free account and install their download manager.

Also MegaDownloader + Psiphon solves the download limit problem.
Until everyone else starts using the same proxies I had MegaDownloader installed, but after its magic quota trick stopped working, there wasn't any particular reason to prefer it over jDownloader.

Self-host with something like a Synology NAS, too.
