    1 GB, as I recall.

Free or Premium service? I have downloaded an 8GB file for free. Definitely not a 1GB limit (never).

Interesting. I tried to download a fairly big movie rip some months ago, and I'm really sure I had to use the smaller 1 GB links provided, because the single-file one was not available as a free user. Now I just went to their FAQ and it says anyone can download files up to 100 GB each

Well, that's even better. 1fichier, Solidfiles and Mediafire are the most downloader-friendly choices right now.

That is great, but do they restrict the speed vs paid ?? I guess that would be ok if you don't mind an 8Gb download will take 3 days no matter what speed your ISP is....

I guess for desperate measures that i couln't find something on Usenet, it is good to know....

Whenever you start a download, there's a banner at the top of the page that tells you whether speeds will be unlimited "to help you discover [their] services" or not, and what the limit will be in the latter case. My experience is that they're unlimited 90% of the time.

What i am confused about Anon...Say i go to ReleaseBB or Scene Release, and i want to download something from there?? And they give you the option of using Nitroflare, Rapitgator, Uploadgig, and that is usually the ones they do offer. And the free ones obviously restrict speed and size?? How do i actually use a different down loader that is not offered ?? ....

Or am i out in left field and we are talking about completely different things??

And the next question?? I assume you should have some sort of stealthing?? Again i don't care if my ISP sees the volume of the downloads, like Usenet having SSL??, but with direct downloads i assume it shows a description??

If the host you want isn't available, you'll have to either find links elsewhere or deal with it. The ones you mention are usually favored because of their rewards programs, but there's usually at least one downloader-friendly host offered (at least on Warez-BB, which is where I get my stuff). No one likes getting a big file at 50 KB/s, after all.

Note that file hosts are independent from each other, they aren't like Usenet where you can post/upload something through one provider and it will spread and become available on others. So making the same thing available on multiple services requires uploading it to each one of them.

And the next question?? I assume you should have some sort of stealthing?? Again i don't care if my ISP sees the volume of the downloads, like Usenet having SSL??, but with direct downloads i assume it shows a description??
Most file hosts use TLS nowadays. Encryption is overrated for download-only services, anyway. You're already very much protected by the fact you're not uploading anything or opening any ports, and only three parties can know that you're downloading at all (you, the service of your choice and your ISP), which makes it much less likely to "get caught" in the first place.

As you know i am an avid Usenet guy unless i am desperate for something unusual i can't find. And the ISP is the one i would be worried about, i did get a notice from them when i downloaded something from a Torrent site, i ignored it and nothing happened but who needs the aggravation!!!, i don't use torrents really anymore......
And what i am surprised that they don't change the direct link names for the downloads for that reason??...

    Is Warez-BB still up?? Link??

Thanks for the help and reply Anon....
