Oh, I remember "The Principal". That was a tough-on-students clone after the success of "Stand and Deliver". I think the principal was the black guy from "Iron Eagle", whatever his name is...?

I'm pretty sure I did not pay money for it at the theater, though. I want to say I saw it on some movie channel on a pirated cable box back in the day. <sigh>

    I'm old.

"Enemy Mine", "Real Genius", "The Last Starfighter", "Big Trouble In Little China"... Hell, Even "Star 80" (starring Muriel Hemingway, I think?) -- are those really "overlooked" movies? I thought they were pretty successful in their day.

Or the days when the first POP up VCR and watching the blurry version or Star Wars and E.T... Boy i thought we were the Trumps of Canada..Yet i don't remember my parents ever affording cable in those days, CiTY TV on UHF (79), sneaking to watch Baby Blue Movies . Do you remember those days Idol?? I am thinking back now you may have been upset there was no guy on guy porn back then

Was she related to Mariel Hemingway only more of a wallflower?

Also "the black guy from Iron Eagle" won a fucking Oscar for An Officer and a Gentleman. Sort of like refering to DeNiro as that old guy from Meet the Fockers.

If you read the disclaimer at the end of the list, I say that some movies will be familiar. I have no idea if any of these movies were box office hits. I figured many of the members here were born after 2000 and most of these movies they have probably never heard of.

The list has a long way to go. I have watched so many movies over the years, it's hard to remember them all.

Feel free to suggest movies that deserve to be on the list.

I don't think Cabby meant any disrespect MacGyver, but honestly the majority were considered "A" list movies, and now some "Classics"...

It is a difficult task to try to find diamond in the rough "B" movies, again appreciated for the list, and if you think of anymore don't hesitate to show us

Re: Stratten. Way before Lexx: The Dark Zone even though they were clearly trying to riff on Barbarella and Star Wars.

More on topic. Too Late the Hero (1970).

I didn't feel any disrespect, I just don't feel most of the movies got the attention they deserved. It wasn't until many years later that people started to appreciate them ("Classics"). I certainly don't remember much fanfare for them when they were released. Most of these movies didn't do well at the box office. Of course times have changed since most of these movies were made. But the 80's was when movie theater going really exploded.
