It represents everything the people fought for: peace among the kingdoms, returning to life as usual, rebuilding, taking on new roles, also shows just how much everyone has grown through their experiences. Arya once considered sailing off, but instead chose to protect her family-- she sailed off in her own ship with crew. John is not king of the north, but is respected and welcome in the area and has his wolf. Sansa is queen of the north, having refused to join the other kingdoms in unification. The gathering at the table (Tyrian and company) shows that there will be challenges ahead for the new unified kingdoms, but trade and mutual benefits to all give hope for the future. Everyone's story led them to their new places of power and responsibilities.

All of this is in contrast to the endless wars that would have occurred if evil has been allowed to reign. In a way, it says that everything they all went through was necessary and worthwhile.

Actuallly I meant the very last scene but apparently it was meant to mirror the very first scene of the series so basically Lost 2.0.

I guess I should be happy they didn't all wind up in jail or turn up in some logging camp working as lumberjacks. I'm still totally down for an Arya spinoff though.

Btw all those Game of Thrones YouTube channels are fucking ghey, not that I'm judging the homos since I'm not a conservative.

John Wick 3: Parabellum. Proved to me that even the best action scenes if they don't have some emotional core to hang them on end up being boring as fuck.

Also rewatched Hacksaw Ridge and in retrospect came to the weird conclusion that all the best parts happen before the battle scenes.

Bummer about JW3. Makes sense that by the 3rd filum the puppy love has evaporated and now it's one-dimensional violence porn. I'll still watch it, of course.

They still manage to kill a dog but in this case it's for no better reason than to give a call-back to the orginal. Btw I still like this shit on some level even though my brain tells me it's now a artistically bankrupt money grab.

I'm more accepting of movies/shows as pure entertainment to get through 90 minutes than you. I respect when movies/shows rise above that, but don't expect all to do so.

    Unrelated to comment above:

I've only had time to watch 1/2 of Never Grow Old. It's a bit of a slow-build western, but I have to say Cusack's character has something special and truly dark. Not bad so far.

Can't say that I'm a fan of revisionalist Westerns in general although there have been a couple obvious ones that I have liked.

Me not being fond of them is probably due to the fact their nihilism/determined to make the audience suffer is so counter to the good guy/ bad guy idea that classic Westerns are entirely founded on.

Ultimately, I'd only give the movie a 6. Credit to Cusack-- I wouldn't have expected him to have the chops to go so completely dark without becoming a parody of a villain. Hirsch was the more miss-cast lead. Nothing great on his end. Everyone else was a cardboard prop.

Giving up on the new Twilight Zone. Here I am a self-described socialist and I find their constant hammering of social issues overbearing.
