Army of the Dead (2021)
It says a lot that as a film it's even dumber and more poorly directed than this.
Also, didn't movies use to have characters that I actually cared about at least a little?

Eat Wheaties!
Cute little ensemble movie, with a lot of names/faces I recognized from the small screen. Probably won't be nominated for an Oscar, but it's a fun date night movie or for a rainy afternoon.

Weekend fare... "Army of the Dead"** (2021) was first... The Handmaids Tale (tele)... others... finished off with "Eat Wheaties!"... a good time was had by all.
(Truth be known the ex thought the opening credits on the first was perhaps a comedy film.)
** Given it's a Zack Snyder film many clips will end up on the editing room floor. I'm waiting for the four and a half hour version!
Perhaps in the director's cut...
"On the roof top Lilly (The Coyote) de-heads the bag...
Scott asks, " Where are the rest and what about Martin?"
Lilly states... "Martin?... "You always were an asshole, Martin!"
Cuts minutes later to a nuclear blast.
...too close to "Aliens" scripted dialogue I know... but it fits. (Maybe)

Alternating between Domina and The Irregulars at the moment.
First one has been described as "GoT goes to Rome"; not sure that's entirely accurate (not enough gratuitous sex), but give that it's based on real people, I guess the writers did not want to go too much overboard. Recommended if you are into historical stuff.
Still have not decided if I like the other series or not. I'm more into detective stories than the supernatural. Some things (like the Sherlock Homes franchise) should just not be messed with.
I've recently finished Doom Patrol seasons one and two. I can't recommend it enough. I've never read the comics and didn't know what to expect. It's a very nuanced oddity; lots of adult metaphor and subtext with childlike inventiveness. An antidote to the superhero team genre.
Spy City... 2 episodes a night for 3 nights... time well spent... thanks again!

Sophie Scholl
Old shit was here. Now it's gone.
Binging Snowfall right now...
4 seasons/40 episodes -- that's like a long weekend, right?
