The first was good, the second was undeniably shit. Any words to the contrary doesn't change that fact.

For the record among other reasons that the second was shit was that everything felt forced. Irreverence needs to seem more natural.

Unfortunately movie studios love to put out a sequel to every hit movie as soon as possible. That usually means the quality will be low. Everything probably felt forced because of the pressure to make another hit, when the script was crap.

On the subject of 1XBet or whatever they now call themselves, has anyone thought how stupid marketing-wise it is for them to associate themselves with negative feelings by doing this?

First thing that comes to mind when 1XBet is mentioned isn't "gee I need to go there and gamble" but rather "those are the evil motherfuckers that are messing up my viewing enjoyment".

I think these CAMs are mostly used for bootlegs sold on the street. The quality is not very good. Much better to wait for HDRip/WEBRip/WEB-DL or just go to the fucking movie theater.

Well, these advertisements are similar to spam e-mail in that they can reach a huge audience with minimal investment, which makes them a very tempting option even if it's "wrong". Even with a success rate of 0.1%, they're getting a thousand new customers for every million people that watch the movie, and the most popular flicks can get literally millions of downloads... in addition to bootleg copies that are sold and watched offline.

Also, now that I think about it, I believe I've been redirected to this 1XBet site by some pop-under ads in the past (surfing certain sites without an ad blocker can be a nightmare). Annoying as fuck, yes, but the same principle applies.

I just don't get why a big company would want to associate themselves with piracy to be honest it seems kinda shady.

The average Joe is unlikely to care... do you think people stopped watching porn after seeing all those porn ads on TPB?
