I use the free version of zone alarm with the annoying splash screen. I couldn't get rid of it until I ran across this trick.
At the zone alarm shortcut, ( in the start up folder), right click for properties and modify "target". At the end, add -nopopup -nosplash.

I think it works for some other programs, give it a try.
To all of you that already knew this: Why didn't you tell me sooner?

    It looks like this:

    nice tip

I know another tip you should know.
bandwidth cost money so i would compress your images into a jpeg or png file. it will cut the size of that image from 800k to about 40k.

photoshop, paint shop pro or even paint will save it as a jpeg

No thanks, the free one works fine. Except for that damn splash screen I got rid of.

It's a good tip but it doesn't speed to the time it takes for zonealarm to load!! That's my biggest annoyance with ZA..
