Thread: Ubiquity AP through put

I run a Poe Ubiquity POE and my Download test speeds are horrible. I get 600Mbps wired and about 50 on wireless. What am I missing. Is it that the AP is only getting a 100MBps instead of 1Gb from the Poe injector and switch?

    Is the switch a 10/100 or a 10/1000Mbps??

What else is connected and using bandwidth??

Unplug everything and just plug in Modem/Router or just modem and see what speeds you get?? Is the router 10/100 or 10/1000Mbps??

How many people in your area use the same ISP provider?? It is pretty rare to get the full speed from your ISP?? Except on maybe off peak times??

    More information needed

Unlikely, if you're getting six times that amount over Ethernet. And 50 Mbps is very good for single-channel Wi-Fi.

What speeds do you expect to be getting in the first place, how are you measuring them, and what TCP tuning have you done on the computer(s) running the test?
