    Use Goldwave

    Drag avi into goldwave

It deflashes (somtimes looks like it has crashed give it a moment)

Maximise (you can mess about until you get what you like)

Save as mp3(or wav if your decoding) and you can remix back in avi.

No more blowing your ears off when you close movie and forget to lower volume on speakers

    Cheers
so what this is is to alter audio outside the movie then put it back in?

i know how to do that..... however this isnt the point... not to mention you could screw the audio-movie sync....

i heard (a friend told me) that this problem has to do with the AC3 Filter...and there's a way to fix it....since not all movies have this problem, you see?

i know it is only for AC3 audio (in Vdub - File information - you see unknown tag for audio) these are the ones normally with low audio.

But so many now coming with above it was a option to try if its not for you, no problems.

Note Ive had no sync problems with Goldwave method

    Cheers

    As Butway says
If you use BSplayer right click on the screen and go to properties (I think) and play around whit the ac3 options otherwies try the matrixmixer thingie
I had problems with volume on some movies but in properties on BSPlayer you can increase volume and I have no problem with sound quality at all, it's worth a try before you go thru all the agro in ripping out the audio, maximising and re-merging with the video

Yeah I just had that on S.W.A.T. but I just encoded my audio and loaded it in bsplayer instead of using the regular audio but I need to know how to do it in WinAmp even though I don't think it is possible.
