How do the speeds of IrC usually compare with using bittorrent or kazaa? Bittorrent is becoming slower everyday.

depends on the server, really
if server is fast and no one is queuing, the speed is how fast you can receive, usually maxmum connection speed, that could be anywhere from 50kB to 600kB per second

Yeah I've got a cable modem. I think I can get speeds up to like 350. I've been messing with IRC for a little while looks like new files are harder to get good speeds.
