Most pre 2010's don't. Friends is a prime and widely used example. Ross did have a black girlfriend at one point but only for nine episodes and then she got murdered by the cops.

Edit: Yeah Cab...did a bit more research of her name... VERY nasty... she is now on my list of banned quoters. It was the words, the sentiment and the fact I didn't do a fact check or was
