As long as the streaming sites don't cover all movies/TV, torrent sites will always exist though I think that is unfortunate as torrent sites are an outdated and quite frankly boring tech. Niche sites like KG will always have a place.
I doubt that streaming sites will cover everything at some point, each wants their own content, hence torrents will prevail. Back in the days they weren't so boring
The downside of many specialized sites (niche) is that there is not as much activity, or they lack of seeds
They never will, for a simple reason: licensing. If a work is not deemed profitable or the original licensors say no, then it's not going to show up. On top of that, there is very old and rare stuff whose master copies or even copyright holders may not be around anymore, and therefore only exists as bootleg rips. Think of decades-old TV shows, underground musicians, Satellaview ROMs...
Pirates don't have to worry about that. If a copy of something exists at all then it can be uploaded. That's why Kodi plus the right addons has so much more stuff than Netflix, and Grooveshark was so much better than Spotify.
Define outdated. BitTorrent v2 was (finally) formalized very recently. Prior to that, enhancement proposals made sure the protocol kept up with the times; things we take for granted today, like DHT and multiple trackers, are not part of the original specification.torrent sites are an outdated and quite frankly boring tech
As for "boring", that's too broad and subjective, but I don't see how being able to get stuff for free is boring?

Agree with everything you said. By boring I meant that you have to always download it before you can watch it. I live in India so I have a bandwidth cap plus I have limited speed so I have to wait till the download is complete before I can watch so I prefer streaming. Also I hate seeding and leaving the laptop on cause I tend to get distracted and so I flip utorrent constantly have to worry about whether the seed time or seed ratio has been met. Overall after streaming sites I prefer direct download sites like warez because you just download the file and forget about everything else, makes me wonder what the incentive is for uploaders on these warez sites besides a warm thank you.
For me, having to download first is an advantage, as it means I'll actually have a copy of the content and be able to watch/listen to it as much as I want, online or offline, on any device. In your case, though, I can see why it's a liability.
Can't argue against this; I rarely use private trackers yet still check on my client every few minutes to see what and how much I'm uploadingAlso I hate seeding and leaving the laptop on cause I tend to get distracted and so I flip utorrent constantly have to worry about whether the seed time or seed ratio has been met.
Well, DDL forum uploaders have one well-known incentive. Check which file and image hosts they use the most, then check what their rewards and referral programs offer. If anything, I'm more puzzled about torrent uploaders, as profit opportunities from that are very limited or nonexistent (especially on public and semi-private places like TPB, Demonoid or RuTracker). I think those are way more likely to be the ones getting nothing but a "thank you".Overall after streaming sites I prefer direct download sites like warez because you just download the file and forget about everything else, makes me wonder what the incentive is for uploaders on these warez sites besides a warm thank you.
Irrespective of motivation, though, at the end of the day they're putting free stuff for me to download, so I'm always grateful.

I have uploaded several torrents to public trackers, and my motivation was sharing something because I liked it and/or to prevent rare files from becoming "lost". I'd wager it's the same for most people... unless you're uploading crypto miners or ransomware, of course

i use trackers but i cover my ass
