A friend of mine just called, he is wanting to record a file from his camcorder to his hard drive so he can burn it to cd.
He is a 'puter novice so he needs a program that is simple to use.
He is using Nero Express as his burning software.

Any Ideas on a good software program?
    Steve

Did his camcorder not come with any transfer software when he bought it?

P.S. It would also help to know which format his camcorder is using.

Great points here, I forgot to ask how he connects it to his pc.
He does have it connected though as I talked him through burning a few pics.
I ask about his software and he wasnt for sure how to use it, I was on my way out and I left him there and told him to look for a import video from a device on the program.
I also forgot to ask what media he was using, he stated that it was an older camcorder that also took pics so I asssumed it was probably 8mm, my bad.

When I get a chance I will get back with him for more info.

    Thanks,
    Steve
