    asides those two questions what's the best software to accomplish this task with?

    dbpoweramp and dbmusic converter will do the job nicely

    however be warned, conversion from one codec to another is guarenteed to loose quality

    thanks my man. i'll check that out but I guess i'll hold off unless the thing i want is rare then i'll be bothered with conversion. thanks again.

    why would you want to convert them anyway?

    wma is pretty good quality stuff
