I have downloaded some moviefiles in svcd format, but they are about 825MB each. How can I make each one fit on a single cd?

When you burn it the file won't be that long - try using Nero SVCD option first. (the movies on kazaa are usually designed to fit on a 700MB cd)

You can try compressing it with WinRAR or WinAce . but then you will have to un-compress it to watch it again

I have tried Nero and would burn as SVCD but Nero reports that the mpeg is in a wrong format.

you could also use VCDGear to create a cue/bin image and burn that to a disc. you can usually only go up to 800 megs, but it may fit more. if it doesnt it will cut off the last 30 seconds or so to make it fit, that is if you can live without those last few seconds of the credits. better than nero anyways (in my opinion).
