    The Truth...

The nation voted against Trump's antics and his bombastic personality, not his policies -- which were a spectacular success, particularly on the economy.

    Must be fake news

Let's not forget that right before the November elections, almost 6 of 10 Americans said the country was better off today than four years ago -- i.e., the end of the Obama-Biden regime.

    True of False......

Democrats will concentrate power in Washington and refill the swamp. Most voters still want it drained.

More people voted for Trump in 2020 than did in 2016 presumably in their own words are true precisely because of his "bombastic personality". Granted, people did vote against him for the same reason but all in all I would say it was a wash As for his "spectacular" success, you mean like with the COVID response or immigration or environmental protection or foreign/race relations? Also as any economist will tell you, most of those indexes had been moving in a positive direction for a long time and cold hard fact is that Trump's economy was middlish in terms of Presidencies.

It as 53% which is another way of saying the slimmest of majorities. 35% pre COVID said it was worse. If you factor in that apparently 87% of Republicans still support Trump, that's comes down to every MAGA head thinks 'Merica and basically no one else.

For the Democrats to refill the swamp it would first still need to be drained. As far as I know, the only people even attempting to try and do so are the so called Justice Democrats who refuse to accept corporate money. As for Trump....."Trump revokes rule barring lobbying by former officials as he leaves office". He passed this when he was elected so that none of Obama's people could feed from the trough and then revoked it when he left so that all his people now can. But no coincidence or anything, right?

I'm not going to get sucked into another non-productive "discussion" (and I use that term loosely), but let me ask you this: If Donald was all about draining the swamp, why did one of his last executive orders cancel his own rules prohibiting members of his administration from lobbying for five years after leaving office (and for life from lobbying for foreign governments)? Seems to me he is the one refilling the swamp. Or, really, he never drained it to begin with.

EDIT: Did not see Idol's response. Guess I could have saved myself 30 seconds.

Trump drained the swamp and filled it with sewage and toxic waste.

I wish I was black and pompous like Amanda Gorman. Then maybe I could be a poet laureate too.
