Windows Task Manager

Hey on startup today from my desktop I went into my windows task manager and found that I have 29 process running on xp pro

I think thats a lot... Does anyone know What process I have to have running for windows to run correctly as well as my drivers antivirus and firewall ?

Review all the non-active and disable it.

I think it was the black hat cd I downloaded that slowed it down the most. I've never seen norton go so nuts

jesus you people must have aload of crap installed on your pc.

im using 3 programs
have an ftp, shhd and apache server's running.
firewall and anitivirus running and its still only 28 processes.

you really should look into which processes you really need.

I think it was the black hat cd I downloaded that slowed it down the most. I've never seen norton go so nuts

lol yeah last time i installed norton it went beserk trying to destroy half of my favourite programs because it though they where hacker tools.
