U tell him dawg.......clocker ur a big bully (sob) *rans up the stairs crying like a girl* Anyway back to the point - How much of an performanc increase would a 64 3200+ and a 9800xt give over a 3000+ barton and a 9800pro? In a rough percentage?Worth the extra 300 or so quid it would be to splash out?

Forgive me if I came across as crotchety, I did not mean to be harsh.

It seems that many times we are not being asked to help, but rather to do all the work.
I should have just shut up.
    Sorry.

Your not going to see much difference until there is software to support the 64bit. In fact it may perform slower and there are still a lot more problems to be sorted out before I would consider 64bit.

No one offended me, I was the one at fault.

VB, although I have only casually read of the new 64bit chip, I haven't seen any mention that it runs slower, just not significantly faster on 32bit software.
However, in deference to your expertise I offer a compromise...why not get a new board which will support the 64bit chip and continue using your old chip for a while and see what shakes out?

This is my new dream case, btw...

Also, why would you want to apply presure to the agp and pci cards? so they stay in place better?

    Cost, I don't know.

Some of the new AGP vid cards are getting so large and heavy ( due to the extreme cooling solutions) that extra support on the outboard edge is a bonus.
    These guys thought of everything...

Because once all the little quirks are sorted and the software uses 64bit it will be much less costly then.

Very nice case. The first thing to fix would be to cut these out and fit chrome grills.
