Very nice case. The first thing to fix would be to cut these out and fit chrome grills.

Yes, it mentions that in the text.

The detailing is exquisite and Lian-Li has exceptional build quality.

Also it doesn't have a stupid window in it.

The first thing to shake out will be the old processor. I don't think it will quite fit into the new 940 pin socket.

the pins in the XP are in a diamond array:

    . . . . . . . . . .
    . . . . . . . . .
    . . . . . . . . . .
    . . . . . . . . .
    . . . . . . . . . .
    . . . . . . . . .
    . . . . . . . . . .
    . . . . . . . . .
    . . . . . . . . . .
    . . . . . . . . .

more or less but more squished (plus no pins in center)

    athlon 64 is:
    . . . . . . . . .
    . . . . . . . . .
    . . . . . . . . .
    . . . . . . . . .
    . . . . . . . . .
    . . . . . . . . .
    . . . . . . . . .
    . . . . . . . . .
    . . . . . . . . .

but with a million more pins and pins fill center as well

no way the old cpu will fit the new

makes someone want to chase down the intel cpus for backward compatability

intel extreme editions kick ass on all accounts
