    the pins in the XP are in a diamond array, much like the 423 willamette(sp?) core



    more or less but more squished (plus no pins in center)

    athlon 64 is a p4 northwood/modern type pin array

    but with a million more pins and pins fill center as well

    no way the old cpu will fit the new

    makes someone want to chase down the intel cpus for backward compatability

    intel extreme editions kick ass on all accounts

    Yeah pretty much. It didnt do much better then the regular 3.2 P4. Not worth like the 600 freaking dollars&#33;&#33;&#33;
