Can someone PM me - if you have some time and wnat to help a helpless guy -
some sites or posts where I find PRO and CONTRA of SuperNova?
I do not know if I should use it ...
i still believe bittorrent owes much of its success to suprnova
i didnt actually used to use bittorrent for anything other then movies and tv eps
now i use it for everything and dont use anything else
i used to use mirc and emule but both had ques which pisses me off
Hehe, it was originally Donkax which started the whole Bittorrent hype.
They picked up on the idea to use the bittorrent protocol for p2p-sharing, as it was never the intention of Bram Cohen (the ceator) for it to be used that way.
After that came torrentse.cx and soon after Bytemonsoon and Suprnova.
The first two are sadly down and will most likely never return. Bytemonsoon is now a forum and only a shadow of it's former self.
There's a little bittorrent history for ya!

Suprnova really took of when the others gave in to the pressure from "the men in suits" (and bandwidth demands) They seem to be the only good torrent site out there at the moment that doesn't involve registering of searching several sites. It's just such a shame that BT is'nt all that secure as a P2P app.Originally posted by NotoriousBIC@9 December 2003 - 20:25

Indeed, and that's the same reason why I only use Suprnova for relatively small releases...
