    cos every time i want to rieview one of these files it asks for some codec????

    Is it every single file you preview or just the odd one here and there,you might have some fakes there giving you the trouble.

    play in with Windows Media Player, it will play all different types of files.

    AVI Preview can only preview AVI and MPEG-1.


    Get VideoLAN. That can preview more filetypes.
