hey balamm I got a old gateway solo 2150 I have tried xppro but went back to 2kpro would server be better ? also thought about some kind of linux?
would like some options?
500mz and 160 ram

Your ram and CPU is a bit low for a win2k server but you might get away with it.
It'll run on a slower machine but the advantage is with faster machines. You can do more, run the advanced services and protocols, without any slowdowns or limits.
If the 2k pro is running ok but you find the things you can do with it limited, that's where you would benefit.
Instead of 1 website and 5 connections max in IIS, I am allowed unlimited websites and about 100,000 connections.
It's all up to the CPU and more and faster ram then.

Go to "Windows Update" now, and do the full critical update, all of it.
Don't use Outlook Express until it's fully updated.
